Ms. Hunt, Teacher

THEN...When I was 5 years old in Kindergarten, in the 60's. I'm wearing a minidress and white patent leather gogo boots. I have not worn either since. There was no Pre-K back then.

AND NOW...Many years later, but still in school!

A Little About Me...

This is my 17th year of teaching, and my 7th in Pre-K. I have also taught middle school and early childhood intervention for at-risk students, but I think I finally found where I belong. I am loving it! I am licensed in Early Childhood, Common Branches and Reading.

My first career was in the publishing field, first as an editorial assistant, and then as an editor. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, and a Master's Degree in Reading/Literacy.

By far, my greatest accomplishment is my son Andrew, who makes me proud every day.

And My Goals as a Pre-K Teacher...

  • To make my students' first school experience a positive one
  • To make learning fun and meaningful
  • To motivate children, and to be motivated by them
  • To be fair and laugh often
